The Goodness is in the Ingredients

What makes Treat so sweet? The goodness is in the ingredients. At Treat Beauty we strive to use nature's most delicious and effective ingredients that are rich in antioxidants and vitamins to help heal dry damaged skin. Here are a few of our special ingredients that make Treat so good for you.

Sugar - Traditional remedies rely on sugar to accelerate the healing of wounds and cuts when applied topically and to help avoid infection and scarring.

Cacao - A deep chocolate liquid extracted from the nut of the cacao tree. Grown in the jungles of the world, this super anti-oxidant concentrate is higher in Vitamin C than an orange and has twenty-times the anti-oxidant content of green tea. Anti-aging for the skin; anti-inflammatory; regenerates cellular tissue; promotes circulation.

Acai Berry – The Amazon Acai berry has 10 times the antioxidants of grapes, and twice the antioxidants of blueberries. The Brazilian Acai berry (ah-SIGH-ee) is considered to have the best nutritional value of any fruit on earth. The University of Florida published a study in their Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry that shows the Brazilian acai berry contains antioxidants that destroyed cultured human cancer cells. An amazingly high concentration level of antioxidants in Acai berries contributes to combating premature aging.

Cocoa Butter - Yes this is what makes chocolate so delicious but this nourishing butter also keeps skin extremely supple and moisturized. Cocoa butter also helps with stretch marks and prevents and heals dry skin.

Pomegranate - Pomegranate seed oil a potent natural antioxidant fights free radicals that damage and age the skin to restore suppleness and vitality. A 2003 South Dakota State University study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food showed that a topical application of pomegranate seed oil significantly decreased the incidence of skin cancer in mice that had been exposed to cancer causing chemicals.

Shea Butter - Shea butter has been used to help heal burns, sores, scars, dermatitis, psoriasis and stretch marks. It may also help diminish wrinkles by moisturizing the skin, promoting cell renewal, and increasing circulation. Shea butter also contains cinnamic acid, a substance that helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays. Shea butter protects the skin from both environmental and free-radical damage. It contains vitamins A and E, and has demonstrated both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties

Aloe - A member of the lily family the aloe vera plant has been used since ancient times for healing infection and burns. Ancient Chinese used aloe vera gel for treating eczematous skin conditions. With a high water content of nearly 96%, the aloe vera plant has been hailed as a medicinal plant with many a beneficial property. When the aloe vera leaf is broken, it oozes a thick sap that drips from the open end. This bitter sap is used to accelerate wound healing and reduce inflammation.
